With World War 3 right on our tails, it is good to know how to survive a nuclear bomb with 90% success. (Thats BS. I don't know what the success rate is)
Now there are 2 radius points I want to mention.
Radius A (Within 50 miles of the blast):
1: Bend over
2: Place your head in between your legs (Kinda like you are touching your toes).
3: Now kiss your ass goodbye because you have zero chance of surviving that.
Radius B (literally anywhere around radius A):
1: Before the blast, get somewhere safe. Ideally you want to be in a place that you or someone else has prepared. (Food/water, etc..)
2: Seal everything you can find. Doorway cracks, vents, windows, etc.. Use duct tape or whatever you can find.
3: Shower and get a fresh pair of clothes. This is assuming that you may have not made it to your hideout till after the explosion. Wash every part of your body as best as possible. Dust yourself off. literally. Put your clothes as far away as possible.
4: Wait a couple days. Believe it or not, the first few days are the worst. If you go outside, you'll have zero chance of surviving. But if you wait a few days and wear clothing to protect you from the radioactive particles, you have a better chance. Obviously it still isn't ideal. If you can stay inside, then stay inside. But some people will want to travel to escape, meet with their family, etc..
5: Always take the necessary steps to look out for yourself. You are on your own. Do anything you can to improve your situation. Don't let anyone in and don't broadcast your location. People are just as desperate as you are. They'll do anything to survive. And that is a threat to you.
6: If your resources are limited, which they probably are since you don't have millions of dollars to spend on a big bunker that is capable of filtering water and growing food, then travel safely. Wear lots of clothes and cover EVERY inch of your body. Travel and find a place that can potentially buy you time. If you find a place to rest, wash yourself and your clothes immediately.
