Now that we have awards like this:
I think it's time to stop adding awards for every x1000 stats increase, and start working on awards that dynamically change their border through CSS based on the user statistics.
Awards like posts, threads, reputation, time online, vouches, shouts, could automatically level up once a specific number is reached, maybe until their border becomes shiny and golden.
This would give people something to achive long term and could lead to more engagement from people with high stats, which at the moment become vegetables to sell their signature.
I'm not sure how to deal with the current awards marketplace though, perhaps users could sell the stats counted by the awards, instead of the awards themselves.
